Four Thai Framed Pictures
One of Monsieur's interior designer friends once told him about transforming cheap'n'cheerful posters into ostensible masterpieces by having them beautifully framed. It almost worked with these four pretty prints, bought for a song at Jim Thompson's house in Bangkok and framed for a small fortune here in Paris. For the past four years they've been hanging in our entrance, where, out of politeness or near-sightedness, none of our friends have mentioned the Arial 12pt titles that the framer "helpfully" left visible on our ancient Thai artwork. May your friends be as well-mannered or blind as ours.
