Confederate Dining Table
Bought at a reputable antique market in Dallas and dating from the American Civil War, this 6 seater dining table has seen its share of history, not to mention geography, having been relocated from Texas to London to Paris in the past few years. The travel has taken its toll (as has my disregard for trivets) but a little glue and varnish should have this worldly piece dazzling your dinner guests like the Southern Belle it is. Monsieur wanted the sales price to incorporate the cost of all its moves – something like €2500 – but I've convinced him to settle for much less.
