Antique Bronze Elephant Bell
This early 19th century elephant bell from northern Thailand is a stunning Oriental ornament. Tied with sinew, the carved teak frame supports a massive bronze bell, once worn by domesticated elephants so that they could be located while they foraged in the jungle. Kind of like a kitty cat bell, but bigger. Purchased at Oriental Fine Arts in Phuket, you can be confident of its authenticity.
